Trained caregivers and nurses stay with your patient from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Male and female staff available. NSDA-certified and serving Dhaka families since 2012.
Nights are the hardest part of caring for someone at home. The doctor’s visit is over, the day helper has gone, and the whole household is asleep—except the one person listening for movement in the next room. That person usually has work in the morning.
Our night patient care service in Dhaka places a trained caregiver or nurse in your home for the full night, from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. They handle the bathroom trips, the position changes, the medicine timings, and the restless hours so the family can actually sleep.
This is home-based care, delivered in your own house. The patient stays in familiar surroundings, in their own bed, with their own routine. Nursing Home Care BD operates under Imran Home Care Ltd, is NSDA-certified and government-approved, and has served Dhaka families since 2012. Depending on the patient’s condition, we assign either a night caregiver for daily-living support or a qualified nurse for clinical care.
Most families underestimate the night until the first bad one. The problems that appear after 8 PM are different from daytime problems, and they are harder to manage alone.
An unsteady patient walking to the toilet in the dark is the most common fall scenario in Dhaka homes.
Transfers are where injuries happen, to the patient and to the family member lifting them.
A bedbound patient left in one position all night develops pressure sores within days
Patients on tube feeding or fluid schedules need care through the night, not just at mealtimes
Night doses get missed when everyone is asleep
Dim light, grogginess, and weakness combine badly
Consequently, families who try to manage nights alone end up exhausted within two weeks. Overnight home care is not a luxury in that situation. It is what keeps the daytime carer functioning.
Every night the attendant follows an agreed routine set with your family before the first shift:
Our staff follows the medication schedule written by your doctor. They do not change doses, start new medicines, or stop existing ones. Any change to the treatment plan comes from a qualified healthcare professional, never from the attendant.
Every family asks this, usually not out loud. It is the real reason people hesitate to book overnight care, so here is a straight answer.
Our night staff works a 12-hour shift, not a 24-hour one. They rest during the day and come to work having slept. An attendant doing a continuous 24-hour duty cannot stay alert through the night, and we do not schedule it that way.
What actually happens during the night:
How you can verify it: ask for the night log each morning. Our coordinator also makes unannounced overnight checks on active placements. And if you are ever unsatisfied with an attendant’s alertness, tell us, and we replace them—no argument.
We would rather explain our system than promise something no human can deliver.
Attendants work strictly limited, structured shifts to avoid excessive fatigue, ensuring sharp focus through the late-night hours.
No sleeping in distant lounges. The attendant remains physically present in the room, keeping immediate watch over the patient’s bedside.
A systematic, bi-hourly clinical check-in ensures that positioning, hydration, and safety protocols are strictly followed and logged.
Every milestone, change, and standard report is documented and visible to you, eliminating second-guessing about nocturnal care quality.

Older patients are most at risk after dark, when weak legs, poor lighting, and disturbed sleep combine. A night caregiver handles bathroom trips safely and keeps an eye on breathing, confusion, and restlessness through the night.
A bedbound patient left unmoved for eight hours can develop a pressure sore in days. Our attendants reposition every two hours, check skin at each round, and manage catheter, diaper, and tube feeding through the night.
The first nights after surgery are the most painful and the most anxious. Overnight care at home covers pain medicine timing, wound and dressing observation, safe movement, and calling you if anything looks wrong.
Stroke patients often have one-sided weakness, swallowing difficulty, and a high fall risk. A trained night attendant manages transfers, positioning, and feeding safely, and watches for any new weakness or speech change.
Sundowning makes evenings and nights the hardest part of the day for dementia families. A calm, familiar night caregiver reduces agitation, prevents wandering, and keeps the household from being woken repeatedly.
Diabetes, COPD, kidney disease, and heart failure all need overnight attention—sugar checks, oxygen and SpO2 monitoring, fluid limits, and medicine timing. Our night nurse at home service covers these on the doctor’s plan.

For patients whose needs go beyond daily living support, we assign a qualified nurse. All clinical care follows the treating physician’s written plan.
We give night doses on schedule, with temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and SpO2 recorded at set intervals and charted for your doctor to review.
Scheduled overnight feeds with correct positioning, flow rate, and flushing, plus observation for aspiration risk and tube displacement.
Catheter care, bag emptying, output charting, and stoma hygiene through the night, with infection signs reported the same night rather than in the morning.
IV line observation, cannula site checks, and management of home oxygen therapy, including flow settings and continuous SpO2 monitoring.
Watching for the early signs—rising temperature, falling saturation, reduced urine output, new confusion or breathlessness—and escalating to you and your doctor without delay.
Our night patient care runs 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM—a full twelve hours.
At 8:00 PM, the night attendant arrives, reads the day log or takes a verbal briefing from the family, and confirms the night’s medicine schedule.
Through the night, rounds happen every two hours, and everything is recorded in the night log.
At 8:00 AM, the attendant hands you the completed log and explains anything notable—a difficult stretch, a skipped meal, a wound that looked different. If a day attendant is also booked, the handover happens between them with the family present.
At any hour, if the patient’s condition changes, the attendant calls you first and then our coordinator. You are never told about a problem twelve hours after it happened.
Families in Dhaka care about who stays in the house overnight, and rightly so.
Female night caregivers are usually requested for female patients, elderly mothers, and new mothers, since bathing, toileting, and changing are intimate tasks. Request one at booking, and we arrange it subject to availability.
Male night caregivers suit heavier patients, post-stroke patients needing physical lifting, wheelchair transfers, and male patients who prefer a male attendant for personal care.
Tell us your preference on the first call, and it becomes part of the placement brief. This is a normal request and never an awkward one.
We take the patient’s age, condition, mobility level, existing routine, and specific care requirements over the phone.
We help you decide whether a night caregiver or a qualified nurse is the more appropriate choice for this patient.
We arrange a caregiver or nurse who fits the patient’s needs and your requested schedule, including your male or female preference.
Medication reminders, feeding, hygiene, mobility, and monitoring responsibilities are agreed in writing before the first shift.
Important concerns and updates are communicated to the family during and after each care period through the night log and direct calls.

If the patient’s condition changes seriously during the night, our attendant follows a fixed sequence:
Be clear on this point: a night attendant is not an emergency medical service. Chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding, or loss of consciousness need an ambulance and a hospital immediately. Our staff is trained to recognize those signs and escalate at once rather than wait for morning.
